Opstal has an array of quality estate wines under four different labels with Chenin blanc being our main focus. The four ranges are the fun, easy drinking and lifestyle Sixpence Range, the classic and food friendly Estate Range, our premium Heritage Range and newly release single site range that will knock your socks off.
The Slanghoek valley is situated north / south with the Slanghoek mountains to the west and Badsberg east of the valley. Clay soil - where Cabernet Sauvignon is planted - is found on the eastern slopes of the valley.

Good food is a big part of a great wedding — and we think your guests should leave the table just as happy as they arrived.
Our wedding menus offer plenty to choose from, with canapés, starters, mains and desserts that combine much-loved favourites with fresh, seasonal ideas. Whether your celebration is relaxed and rustic or a little more formal, we’ll help you put together a menu that fits the occasion, your guests and your budget.
Our wedding coordinator will work with you to create the perfect menu.
And then there’s dessert — because no wedding is complete without something sweet.
We don’t allow outside caterers, but we’ll make sure you have plenty of delicious options to choose from on our menu. And yes, your wedding cake can be part of the dessert course, accompanied by three of our mini desserts. Because choosing just one sweet thing on your wedding day seems unnecessarily difficult.

Opstal Estate and Restaurant is situated in the breathtaking Slanghoek Valley, only an hour’s drive from Cape Town. We offer the perfect escape for your perfect day. Known for timeless and elegant celebrations, our team can offer you a unique and tailored wedding to suit you and your partner’s needs.
The Venue
Inside: Suitable for 120 guests, however if you do not require a dance floor we can accommodate up to 140 people.
Outside: We can accommodate up to 200 people in an outside free form tent.
The Ceremony
Our venue wedding fee includes the service of our in house wedding coordinator. The various ideas and options around your ceremony and reception can be discussed during your consultation with our coordinator.
