Opstal has an array of quality estate wines under four different labels with Chenin blanc being our main focus. The four ranges are the fun, easy drinking and lifestyle Sixpence Range, the classic and food friendly Estate Range, our premium Heritage Range and newly release single site range that will knock your socks off.
The Slanghoek valley is situated north / south with the Slanghoek mountains to the west and Badsberg east of the valley. Clay soil - where Cabernet Sauvignon is planted - is found on the eastern slopes of the valley.

Tucked away in the serene Slanghoek Valley, our wedding venue offers a peaceful haven surrounded by nature’s finest beauty. With the towering Slanghoek Mountains as your backdrop, every moment feels like a scene from a romantic painting.

Our Menu
We offer a wide variety of canapés, starters, main courses, and desserts to choose from to suit every need and theme. In 2015, Chef PJ joined the Opstal team as Head Chef and quickly became an indispensable asset to the restaurant, bringing his exquisite palate and creativity to everything he touched. His menus are a combination of old favourites and seasonally inspired dishes.
Our wedding coordinator will help you to decide on the perfect menu to suit your needs and budget. We primarily serve plated dishes but can also provide a buffet option if preferred. For more details, please view our wedding package.
Please note: No outside caterers are allowed. Instead, you will need to choose a dessert from our menu. Your wedding cake may be included as one of the dessert options, accompanied by three of our mini desserts.

The Venue
Inside: Suitable for 120 guests, however if you do not require a dance floor we can accommodate up to 140 people.
Outside: We can accommodate up to 200 people in an outside free form tent.
The Ceremony
Our venue wedding fee includes the service of our in house wedding coordinator. The various ideas and options around your ceremony and reception can be discussed during your consultation with our coordinator.
