Located on a working wine farm just one hour’s drive from Cape Town, Opstal Stay is your perfect escape inland from the Boland Mountains. Nestled in the picturesque Slanghoek Valley with breathtaking views of vineyards, fynbos, and mountains, this is a place you’ll want to tell everyone about (or perhaps a secret you’ll want to keep). With luxury interior design and great attention to detail, we have created a smart yet homey environment like no other.

With an open-plan kitchen including a gas hob, microwave, fridge, kettle, and toaster, you will be able to prepare almost any meal. To make your stay extra comfortable, we supply all the luxuries you will need, including towels, good-quality linen, and Wi-Fi. We also provide you with a bundle of firewood for your slow-combustion fireplace, hot tub, and outside braai. A camping cot can be arranged for babies/toddlers, just let us know if your bundle of joy will join you. Sweet, clear water from the Badsberg mountain water stream fills our taps and is perfectly safe to drink. For celebrations, we provide something extra for special occasions (e.g. birthdays, anniversaries, honeymoons etc.) on pre-arrangement at additional cost.  Reach out to your host to arrange your stay.

Both discerning travelers and families with children will appreciate the peace and quiet of our exclusive self-catering units throughout the year. In winter you can snuggle up next to the slow-combustion fireplace inside or wind down in the hot tub outside. Summertime offers late afternoon sundowners on the deck, a cool splash in the deck tub, and the perfect end-of-the-day braai outside overlooking the valley.
