DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  Handle reservations and administration
  •  Manage and oversee the entire restaurant operation
  •  Deliver superior guest services
  •  Staff management – hiring, training, performance evaluations
  •  Ensuring compliance with hygiene and health and safety legislation/guidelines
  •  Stock control of restaurant inventory and equipment
  •  Management of Point of Sale system and ensure correct pricing
  •  Managing budgets, cost control, assessing and improving profitability
  •  Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cash ups
  •  Events planning

 

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND SKILLS:

  • Excellent communication skills in Afrikaans and English
  • Strong supervisory, motivational and people skills
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Good time-management skills
  • Strong administration / reporting / costing skills

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Matric / Grade 12 certificate
  • Tertiary qualification in food and beverage management /hospitality management (advantageous)
  • At least 5 years restaurant management or events management experience
  • Own reliable transport
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software (iKentoo or LightSpeed POS experience is advantageous)
